To memorialize the occasion, they were asked to offer their best wishes and sentiments to the bride and groom, which were then placed into a large apothecary jar.

They stood under a beautiful, dark wood Chuppah covered in lace and feminine florals in pinks, purples, grays and whites. Framing the aisle we displayed floral arrangements in wood boxes with scattered rose petals in between at near the Chuppah.

How sweet are these two flower girls and they are carrying lace baskets too. To die for!

And now they are pronounced husband and wife!

Soft candlelight surrounded a variety of wood boxes and mercury glass containers filled with gorgeous dahlias, orchids, roses and lisianthus gracing the center of each table.

How to personalize your wedding or event with Mason Jars

Here are some fun ways to incorporate mason jars into your wedding or event.

Place Vintage Family Photos into mason jars

Hang a canopy of mason jars above your reception guest tables, from trees and above the bride and groom as they recite their vows.

Place flowers into mason jars as a decor element.

Hang mason jars filled with flowers from the back of the bride and groom’s chair.

Use your mason jars as a favor holder. You can add candy, cupcakes, jam, chocolate chip cookie ingredients and more…

Use them as beverage jars and fill them up with fresh squeezed lemonade, or a signature drink.

And my favorite way to use a mason jar… as a  diy holiday snow globe

Wedding Favors

The wedding favor began centuries ago with European aristocrats. They would send their wedding guests home with a small gift, called a bonbonniere or bomboniere. “A bonbonniere was a box made of porcelain, crystal, precious stones or metal. Inside one would find delicacies made of sugar.” It was from these boxed and gift wrapped confections that today’s wedding favors are derived.

A wedding was also considered a lucky occasion way back when. By passing bonbonnieres and other treats onto wedding guests, the Happy Couple felt they were also bestowing their good luck upon their guests. These lucky gifts usually consisted of five almonds or pieces of candy which represented fertility, health, wealth, happiness and longevity.

When it comes to choosing favors for your wedding, the possibilities are endless. And anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE food, so it’s no surprise that the majority of my favorite favors are edible. Here are some of my favorites:
